Newport Residences is a brand new mixed-use development that includes the commercial Newport Tower, Newport Plaza, and the Newport Residences condo building, which has 256 residential apartments available for rent or purchase. The Prince Edward Road station, which is now under construction to complete the Circle Line, will be the most convenient option for passengers. The nearest exit is about 200 meters away, which is around a three-minute walk away. The second station, which serves the East-West MRT line and is located at Tanjong Pagar, is likewise within walking distance.

CDL said that it has filed proposals with the Urban Redevelopment Authority to rehabilitate the 38-story Fuji Xerox Tower office complex in Tanjong Pagar. Under the state’s incentive programs, both properties may get larger plot ratios.

The Downtown Master Plan will convert the region around the old Fuji Xerox Towers into a fashionable, urban neighborhood, bringing with it attractive streets and cozy squares for future inhabitants. Anson and Cecil Roads will be bustling with “city arcades” along tiny side streets and streetscape enhancements that facilitate the finest of urban life.

Plans call for Anson Road to have much more accessible and sustainable urban streets, as well as an abundance of facilities and restaurants.
